AccessBank Tanzania ranked No.2 in KPMG Customer Satisfaction Survey
Dar Es Salaam, 08 July 2013
AccessBank Tanzania (ABT) was recognised as one of the leading banks in Tanzania by an Africa-wide banking industry customer satisfaction survey conducted by the international consultancy and audit firm KPMG. The survey results placed AccessBank first in terms of convenience, and second in terms of pricing, among more than 30 banks within the country. Christoph Diehl, Member of the Management Board of AccessHolding, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AccessBank Tanzania, commented: “The survey results represent a strong independent recognition that AccessBank is fulfilling its mission to set new industry standards in the Tanzanian banking sector. This is the next big milestone for the bank after crossing the threshold of 100,000 clients just before our fifth anniversary last year. We at AccessBank have always been convinced that a large customer base is best built up through recommendations of satisfied own clients. The high rank achieved in the KPMG survey shows that our staff really go the extra mile to exceed the client’s expectations. Our next goal is obviously to climb to rank No.1.”
Mr. Diehl added that the bank’s customer base is expected to increase substantially in 2013 and beyond as a result of this year’s expansion into the Lake Victoria region, as the recently opened branches in Mwanza and Kahama have been registering an overwhelming client inflow since opening their doors.
