AccessBank won the award for “Best Bank of Azerbaijan” at the annual “Euromoney – Awards for Excellence 2010”.

Baku, Auqust 09, 2010. AccessBank won the award for “Best Bank of Azerbaijan” at the annual “Euromoney – Awards for Excellence 2010”. The Euromoney awards are the most prestigious in the financial world and are given to leading banks and financial institutions in more than 100 countries in 25 nominations. The awards are given on the basis of examining the operations of the candidates by financial analysts, survey of international correspondent banks, renowned financiers and bankers. Position on the market, market share, level of banking products and services, management, professionalism of the staff, innovative characteristics and bank’s capital are among the criteria taken into account.

Dar es Salaam, 19 July 2010 - AccessBank Tanzania (ABT) has today launched its fifth branch in Dar es Salaam, in the area of Tabata Matumbi in Ilala District (along Nelson Mandela Road). The branch opened its doors on this 19th July 2010 and is providing ABT’s full range of products and services including Business Loans (with focus on Microenterprises), Savings Accounts, Student Accounts, Savings Plans, Current Accounts and Term Deposits. 

During the MFC’s annual conference AccessBank was recognized for its practices in Client Protection.

Baku, June 04, 2010. Today, AccessBank announced that it was recognised for its good practices in Client Protection and Avoidance of Over-Indebtedness during the annual conference of the Microfinance Centre (MFC) in Kazakhstan. The honor was awarded to AccessBank by the MFC together with the Smart Campaign, a global movement of microfinance organizations for Client Protection. AccessBank was the only organization in the Caucasus region awarded for Client Protection. During the conference AccessBank was also recognised for its Social Performance Reporting. The Social Performance Reporting Award recognized MFIs commitment to transparency and accountability. The Award was established in 2009 by CGAP, together with the Ford Foundation, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, and the Social Performance Task Force, and is administered by the Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX), a worldwide provider of financial and social performance information for the microfinance sector.
