The LFS lending technologies are based on both Western banking practices and the peculiarities of DTE. Our range of products includes technologies for micro loans to urban and rural businesses, with loans amounting to a few hundred US dollars as well as technologies for investment loans of several million US dollars: It goes without saying that there are important differences between the technology applied, for example, in analysing micro loans in Africa and that involved in capital investments in a textile factory in Eastern Europe. As a rule, the higher the loan amount, the less our technology is standardised, and the more we pay attention to the peculiarities of each project. Accordingly, our role shifts from that of mainly training loan officers to playing a greater role in each loan appraisal. |
