Advisory Expert for MSME Finance Projects - MENA Region


About the Job

The LFS Advisory Services Division is currently strengthening its Berlin-based capacities for upcoming MSME and financial sector consulting business in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. In this context, we are looking for qualified consultants with background in the region as well as in financial sector projects to become part of our project management team in Berlin and develop our respective project pipeline. The successful candidate has to be able to work both independently and as a team player, and has to meet the following requirements:

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 10 years work experience in MSME finance as an expatriate advisor or in a commercial bank (of which at least 3 years in management positions)
  • Financial sector experience in at least 2 countries in the MENA region
  • International Experience: Working exposure in MSME finance outside of the MENA region
  • Proven strong communication skills, orally as well as in writing
  • Fluency in Arabic and English both orally and in writing.
  • Ability and willingness to be based in Germany, with frequent travels to the MENA region and other countries, depending on business needs.  
  • Ability to prepare complex bid documents of high quality under tight deadlines

Additional Assets

  • Management experience in an MFI or bank with MSME Operations 
  • Fluency in German and/ or French
