Sustainable Energy Finance Expert for Advisory Projects


About the Role

Our advisory services division is undergoing substantial growth. One area that is becoming increasingly important is sustainable energy finance (SEF), i.e. the development of financial services and products for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments. It is a strategic objective of LFS to participate in this exciting development. To support our team, we are now seeking experts with experience in the development and implementation of sustainable energy finance products, systems and tools.

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters degree in economics, business administration or a finance-related subject 
  • Evidence of experience in working as expatriate advisor in financial institutions 
  • Experience and interest in managing, developing and training teams in a developing or transition country 
  • Experience in the design and implementation of sustainable energy finance (SEF) products and programmes
  • Knowledge and experience with respect to risks inherent in SEF finance, as well as tools and processes to manage these risks. 
  • Experience in evaluation of projects regarding their energy efficiency (energy audits)
  • Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Russian. 
  • Willingness to travel and relocate internationally

Additional Assets

  • Management experience in an MFI or bank with MSME Operations
  • Experience in related fields such as credit operations, risk management, deposit taking, and payment services
